advice for brides

“Since training at the London School of Make-up I’ve helped hundreds of women – and a few men – look their absolute best. Here is some advice I have from my experience to help your special occasion run smoothly.”

decide on your look

Your make-up needs to complement the style of your wedding dress; accessories & hair.

You may want make-up from the following list:- Simple/Natural; Elegant/Classic; Glamorous/ Sophisticated; Modern /High Fashion- or a Themed make-up (for example some clients have a themed wedding such as “1960’s” etc).

If you don’t have anything in mind, with a consultation I’ll find out what’s best for you and what will suit the styling of your wedding. You can find inspiration from pictures in magazines or the internet too.

a trial is essential

I usually am with a client for a consultation or trial for up to 2 hours. I include a full makeup; discussion about the make-up for your wedding day and an opportunity to experiment. I have a catalogue of makeup photos to help us choose styles & colours if it’s needed.

Have your consultation a minimum of 3 months before your wedding date so you can relax that it’s booked. Some brides choose to book a lot earlier than this. It’s up to you.

To see if I’m available on your wedding day or to book a trial please call 0208 6410 828 or email me on lauramoss@sky.com.

your skin colour

If you’re planning to have a tan on your wedding day or maybe you know your skin will be lighter in colour don’t worry I will adjust the make-up accordingly.

other beauty advice

Start working on getting your skin in good condition as soon as possible, at least a few months before the special occasion.

Ask a beautician for an assessment of your skin. Beauty specialists obviously have many excellent treatments to control the signs of ageing and improve your skins texture and clarity. Plan to have facials before your wedding but do not have them a few days before your wedding.
